It is cliché to say, but a picture truly can say a thousand words. The following videos and photos will give you a much better sense of the incredible men, women and children we've been blessed to encounter in El Salvador, as well as the incredible faith they have and the joy they've shared with us.

Cacho de Oro Site Survey Trip 2006:
This mountain-top village hadn't a regular supply of water since an earthquake five years earlier. After all conventional avenues had been exhausted, these villagers turned to SCTHP. We felt called to help this village in its plight, but we needed to see first-hand (and in advance of the trip) what we'd agreed to.

Cacho de Oro Water Project 2006:
This mountain-top village hadn't a regular supply of water since an earthquake five years earlier. In an extremely challenging project, SCTHP missionaries installed a complete watering system and restored running water to an extremely grateful population.

Mizata Housing Project 2006:
The two-room brick housing project was expanded in Mizata in July 2006 to include two more homes.

San Pedro Latrine Project 2006:
Dubbed the "extreme latrine" mission, a handful of missionaries camped in this remote village for six days while constructing brick latrines to meet this area's most fundamental need for sanitation systems.

Serving Christ Through His PoorOver 30 people from St. Hilary parish and surrounding parishes just returned from a July 9-17 mission to the impoverished village of Mizata in El Salvador. This village was chosen because it is one of the poorest within this very poor country, yet it has a very strong and devout Catholic population. These missionaries worked along side the local community on the construction of a youth center and two more homes. More>
